AIDS Walk AustinAustin EventsAIDS Walk Austin October 16, 2011 12:30 pm - Sign In and Walk-Up Registration 1:30 pm - Open Ceremonies 2:00 pm - Walk Begins Austin City Hall AIDS Walk Austin has been raising money for AIDS Services of Austin since 1988. According to ASA, 87 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to providing services. The walk begins and ends downtown at Austin City Hall and is just short of being a 5K (see map of the course below). You can register and walk as an individual or organize and form a team or you can show your support by making a financial donation without participating in the walk. The 2010 fundraising goal is $140,000. In conjunction with and leading up to the AIDS Walk, blocks from the AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display at various locations throughout Austin.
