The Art BASH (Benefiting Austin State Hospital) Insights Show & Sale is a unique fundraising and art event.
The show benefits the Austin State Hospital (specifically programs intended to improve patients' quality of life, including the year-round Insights Art Program). In 2008, the show raised $34,000.

The show features works from patients of the hospital as well as dontated pieces by numerous Austin artists.

The 2010 BASH Art Show is held downtown at the 816 Congress office tower at, you guessed it, 816 Congress AVE.
The event also features complimentary appetizers (provided by the Culinary Academy of Austin ) and complimentary beer, wine, and cocktail selections.
The State Hospital also hosts an additional fundraiser in the spring - the ASH DASH 5K Bunny Run (along with an Easter Egg Hunt for those with kids).
About the Austin State Hospital : Originally constructed in 1857, ASH provides Adult, Specialty Adult, and Child & Adolescent psychiatric services for 38 counties in Central Texas.
