Austin Events August

Austin Events August 2012 - Dog Days of August? Not in Austin Texas.

Of course, a lot of the events and festivals this month involve keeping cool or celebrating at night - the Austin Ice Cream Festival, the Austin Chronicle's annual Hot Sauce Festival, and Batfest.

Even as the summer scorches on, it also begins to end - Blues on the Green wraps up this month as does the Austin Symphony's free Sunday evening concerts and the outdoor Zilker Summer Musical.

Be sure to check out a couple of other worthy mentions - the Hot Sauce Festival in Waterloo Park and the Austin Italian Festival.
