Austin Events March - There's always the chance for a late freeze (early in the month), but by March, for all practical purposes, spring has arrived in Austin Texas.

March is the month for Austin's largest and most anticipated festival - South by Southwest (SXSX). Originally a music festival putting indie bands and recording industry reps into contact, the festival now includes a world class film festival and gaming/interactive festival.

SXSW tends to overshadow the other events taking place in March, like the Capitol 10K (5th largest 10K race in the United States), the annual Rodeo Austin, and the unique Explore UT opportunity.
