The Austin Marathon is a USATF-certified course and a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon, and, along with Half Marathon, has been an annual Austin event since 1992.
The race is a looped course, with the Starting Line @ Congress and 16th, and the Finish Line @ Congress and 10th.

The course will remain open for 7 hours (the Half Marathon course closes at 11:00 am, the Marathon at 2:00 pm), and all finishers (within that time frame) will receive a commemorative medal (and a shirt).

The Austin race is a popular course for runners. According to race organizers, 80% of the runners come from outside Austin. It's also the fastest course in Texas.
And since this is Austin, there's plenty of live music, with up to 40 bands playing along the course.
