Austin has a wealth of museums for many interests and all age groups. The Austin Museum Partnership maintains a website that includes a list and basic overview of area museums.

In addition, Real Austin Texas maintains an Austin Museums section that also lists local musuems along with additional links to full profiles and reviews (this is an ongoing project - so far, I've added just one full profile: the Austin Children's Museum, but more are on the way).
