Held at the Hartman Concert Park at the Long Center for Performing Arts on Sunday evenings from June through August, the free concerts feature a different ensemble of the Austin Symphony each week. The performances begin at 7:30 pm and are a great location to spread out a blanket and enjoy a late picnic along with a variety of different music, including classical, jazz, and even film scores. This isn't exactly a long hike, but it's not as convenient as the Palmer Events Center parking garage which provides parking for both the Palmer Events Center and the Long Center.
