This is a fun event for the kids and, if you get there early enough with blankets and lawn chairs, a nice place for a picnic. Bring your own meal (but no alcohol) or else snag something from one of the many vendors.

4th of July Parking at Auditorium Shores

The Austin Symphony's website has a page related to parking and transportation alternatives.

There's also a link to downtown parking garages on the north side of Lady Bird Lake.
