The Barton Springs Pool Treeathlon is a family-oriented outing and fundraiser for Austin's beloved Barton Springs Pool in Zilker Park .

The Treeathlon is a miniature triathlon with an Austin twist - it consists of swimming across Barton Springs Pool, a quick bike ride around Zilker, and then followed by a short run around the Polo Fields.

The event, organized by the Friends of Barton Springs Pool , is designed to support the Pool as well as specifically raise funds to restore the original Bathhouse entrance.

Participants will receive an official t-shirt and a one year membership with Friends of Barton Springs Pool .

Other Treeathlon Items

Some other items to be aware of for the event:

Parking - Free parking passes to Zilker will be distributed to Treeathlon participants in the designated areas. Regular parking is the standard $3/car weekend rate.
USA Triathlon Membership Required - All partipants must be members (with photo IDs) of USA Triathlon in order to race. You can join either during the online registration process or else pay the license fee on the day of the race (arrive early!). The fee is $10/adult and $5/child.
