With more than 100 artists and artisans exhibiting, the Blue Genie Art Bazaar is another popular December excursion for shoppers and art lovers alike.
First held in 2001, the bazaar is organized by its namesake, Blue Genie Art Industries. Blue Genie Art is responsible for a lot of the great sculptures and murals around town, including, most famously, the Austin Postcard mural on the outside of Roadhouse Relics (see the opening scene of the Victoria Noll & Jose Lozano music video Take Me With You on the Real Austin Texas home page).

The bazaar runs all the way through Christmas Eve and is held at the Monarch Events Center in the Lincoln Village Shopping Center right off I-35 in the Highland Mall area.
Free parking, free admission, and 100+ exhibitors of unique art - what could be better?
Actually, one word of warning about the parking at Lincoln Village. If you have a Smart Car or a Mini Coooper, you shouldn't have any issues with the parking spots. If you drive anything else, however, be prepared to take up 3 spaces.
