About Carinval ah!

Carnival ah! is the annual outdoor festival put on each spring by the Arts and Humanities Department of Austin Community College at the downtown Rio Grande campus.

The two day event features student projects and performances all across the humanities spectrum: fine arts, music, theater, film, dance, creative writing, religion, philosophy, and more.

There are more than 50 events and more than 100 performers.

The theme for 2012 is "How Did You Get Here?" There will also be a numerous events created by and for the Deaf community.
