Fashion for Compassion , an annual chic spring style show since 2008, benefits the Austin Children's Shelter . In 2009, the show was hosted by Neiman Marcus in The Domain. Since 2010, the event is at Saks Fifth Avenue in the Arboretum area.

The 2011 show features runway appearances by Amber Collins, Miss New York 2011 as well a number of notable Austinites: Greg Hamilton (Travis County Sheriff), Rebecca Hardeman, Mary Herr Tally, Dr. John Hogg, Joanna Linden, Donna Stockton-Hicks, Bobbi Topfer, and Mort Topfer.

Additionally, catering is provided by a variety of top-notch Austin establishments. Last year (2010), the list included:

There will also be a live auction and, of course, opportunities for shopping. Music for the 2010 event is provided by DJ Christian Barbuto.
