About Hyde Park and the Annual Homes Tour

The Hyde Park Neighborhood Association was established in 1974 to help preserve and restore the historic neighborhood (which at the time was in need of both).

Austin's historic Hyde Park, just north of the University of Texas, was first platted in 1891. It's an interesting mix of larger Victorian homes and smaller bungalows. With its restored beauty and charm and its enviable location, Hyde Park is now one of the premier neighborhoods of Austin containing such Austin landmarks as the Hyde Park Theater , the Elizabet Ney Museum , and Hyde Park Bar and Grill .
