About Hyde Park and the Annual Homes TourThe Hyde Park Neighborhood Association was established in 1974 to help preserve and restore the historic neighborhood (which at the time was in need of both).Austin's historic Hyde Park, just north of the University of Texas, was first platted in 1891.
