Henry Middle School Admission - $5 (Free for members & children under 15) Update: The 2011 Japan May Festival has been canceled so that the Japan-America Society of Greater Austin, who organizes the event, can focus on running Japanese relief programs - they are, however, planning on having another festival in the fall (Aki Matsuri).
The event celebrates Japanese culture and features traditional Japanese music, dancing, food, beverages, and a silent auction for gift certificates from various local businesses. From the JASGA website: "The Japan-America Society of Greater Austin, Inc. (JASGA) is a nonprofit organization bridging the cultures of Japan and central Texas by promoting friendly US-Japan relations through educational and cultural programs for its members and the Greater Austin community."
