The annual MLK Celebration in Austin consists of a downtown march followed up by a partial day festival on the campus of Huston-Tillotson University. The event typically draws approximately 15,000 people.
The Community March begins with a brief ceremony on the UT campus at the MLK statue at 9:00 am.
From there, the march proceeds to the State Capitol for another ceremony and some gospel music.

The march culminates at the nearby campus of Huston-Tillotson University for a Cultural Festival celebrating the legacy of Dr. King and the rich diversity of Austin. The festival lasts until 3:00 pm. There will be live music and numerous vendors.

The Austin Area Heritage Council provides this downloadable 2012 vendor packet for the MLK Cultural Festival portion of the Celebration held at Austin's Huston-Tillotson University.
Per the Austin Area Heritage Council, vendor forms are due by January 6, 2012 - those received after will incur a $25 late fee.
