Music Under the StarJuly 1 - July 29, 2011 (Friday Nights) Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum Free Admission & Free Parking This series of free, family-friendly, outdoor concerts held at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum on Friday nights in July first began in 2004 (the museum opened in 2001). Additional Austin Resources: Austin Gifts & More - Special Seasonal Offers, Daily Deals, and More In addition to the free concerts, you'll typically find some limited free food offerings as well. 2010 sponsors included Rudy's BBQ, Mighty Fine Burgers, and Blue Bell Ice Cream. Lone Star Beer is another sponsor, but those you'll have to pay for. (You're encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs but not coolers or outside refreshments). The concerts run from 6-9 pm but there are breaks between sets giving you plenty of time to visit and check out exhibits inside the museum.
