Without a doubt, this is one of the best musical events of the year, even if it isn't technically in Austin. The four day event takes place each spring in Driftwood, Texas which is just on the southwest outskirts of Austin.

The stage is at the Salt Lick BBQ Pavilion, conveniently next door to the fabled Salt Lick Restaurant and right across the way from Camp Ben McCulloch which offers camping and parking facilities.

This is a fun event and the talent is always tremendous.

In addition to all the great music, be sure to check out the demonstrations, workshops, etc. @ the Discovery Stage and don't miss these kids activities .

Finally, for the Old Settler's Music Festival Youth Talent Competition , please be sure to apply early - there are a limited number of slots each year
and the final lineup decisions are typically made
by the beginning of March.
