Roppolo's Pizzeria has been covering the pizza needs on 6th Street since 1989.

Roppolo's offers Sicilian style pizza by the slice or whole pizza. The slices are large and sold conveniently via a street side window for 6th Street tourists and local revelers. The restaurant stays open late to accommodate the post bar crowd.

The pizzeria also features a small but very cool seclued multi-level outdoor patio and deck with high walls that make your forget you're in the heart of a city - perfect to enjoy an intimate slice or two or to share a whole pizza with friends.

The pizzas are prepared with fresh and authentic Italian ingredients and inclued plenty of cheese. My favorite is the The Godfather which is loaded with meat - Italian sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, beef, and bacon.

All that meat can get pretty rich pretty quickly, though, and a couple of those large slices go a long way.

There are other traditional specialty pizzas as well as one not so traditional but welcome nonetheless in Austin - the Tex-Mex inspired Italian Mex which consists of Italian sausage, pepperoni, jalapenos, onions, olives, and roasted peppers.
