Suzi's China Grill & Sushi BarSuzi's China Grill and Sushi Bar is a perfect example that classy and casual can go hand in hand. And classy doesn't have to mean expensive either. LOCATIONS - 3 in Austin - See Maps Below I've only been to the Shoal Creek location, just east of Mo-Pac (Loop 1) on the corner of Anderson LN and Shoal Creek BLVD. But I've never had a bad meal or a bad experience. The restaurant is clean with a simple, slightly elegant feel to it. It's not formal in the least, but I can't help feeling a little more refined when I'm here. For me, eating here is a relaxing and comfortable experience. I much prefer Suzi's to its chain competitor, P.F. Chang's. Arizona-based P.F. Chang's may seem slightly more upscale, but much of that stems from its substantial corporate budget and consultant-heavy concept. There is, in fact, an actual Suzi. In contrast, I seriously doubt you're ever going to run into a Mr. Chang greeting customers at the door.
The SushiSince I'm squeamish when it comes to sushi (there must be something wrong with me - how can I not salivate at the thought of eating raw fish?) I can't speak intelligently on the quality to be found here.But I will point out that only two of the three locations have a sushi bar (Shoal Creek and Bee Caves). The location on S.
