Urban Assualt Ride - AustinJune 26, 2011 Race begins at 8:00 am Fiesta Gardens and Multiple Austin Locations Touting itself as the biggest bicycle scavenger hunt series in the nation, the New Belgium Brewing sponsored Urban Assault Ride returns to Austin on June 26, 2011. The event began in Austin back in 2003 and is now hosted in 10+ cities throughout the year. Additional Austin Resources: Austin Gifts & More - Special Seasonal Offers, Daily Deals, and More The race begins and ends at Fiesta Gardens and includes a series of seven obstacle checkpoints around town including at Pease Park and Metz Pool as well as two additional mystery checkpoints that must be solved or identified. Riders must register in two person teams, but there is also a category that can include a child aged 7-12, so this is an event for everyone. Registration closes June 24, 2011. Registration includes numerous perks, including free soft drinks, New Belgium beer, various snacks, and entry for a "huge" but unspecified raffle prize.
